The evening began with a welcome drink dedicated to networking between clients, prospects and the organising teams.
The interactive panel was based on topics chosen by participants when they registered, and on polls whose results were displayed live.
The panel ended with two announcements from Alleyesonme.jobs, including the exclusive launch of Alleyesonme.jobs Students.
“Everything HR doesn't dare say... except tonight." Behind this deliberately direct title, the event organised by skeeled, myHR, Alleyesonme.jobs and Pixie had a simple goal: to allow HR professionals in the Grand Duchy to share their experiences, discuss their challenges and put their questions live to the speakers.
In the room were many HR directors, HR managers and recruitment specialists. Here is the account and the photos of the first part of this first edition.
The evening started with a welcome cocktail, which allowed everyone to come together over a first drink. Just before the panel began, Yasmine Zarrab from Cap4 Group, who moderated the evening, introduced the organising companies.
Claude Schlesser, for myHR, and Mike Reiffers, for skeeled, then took the stage to say a few words about the partnership. They pointed out that the complementarity of their activities and their shared Luxembourg roots had made this partnership an obvious choice, from talent attraction through to talent retention.
The aim: to bring together expertise and networks around an event that makes sense for HR professionals in Luxembourg. This desire for proximity was reflected in the chosen format, designed to cross-reference experiences rather than deliver a series of presentations.
For this first edition, the topics covered were not imposed. When registering on hr-event.lu, participants could indicate the themes that interested them most and that they wanted the speakers to address.
Three main themes emerged: talent attraction and employer branding, artificial intelligence applied to human resources, and finally onboarding and retention. The common thread of the evening thus followed the journey from candidate to employee, from the promise made before hiring to the desire to stay after signing.
Four speakers took the stage in turn: Zach Traer, Head of Recruitment Services at skeeled, Isabelle Monties, Human Resources Director at Groupe Costantini, Magali Panozzo, Human Resources Manager at LuxConnect and LuxProvide, and Chantal Trausch, HR Consultant at SparkleHR. In her role as moderator, Yasmine Zarrab linked the themes, the speakers and the audience. Their detailed profiles are available on the event website.
An important point to highlight: the format relied on active participation from the room. Before each theme, participants answered a question, and more than a hundred people took part in the polls. The results were then displayed live, allowing everyone to see the trends within the room. The speakers then reacted to these answers by sharing their experiences and points of view.
The poll results gave an interesting snapshot of the room's concerns. On employer branding, when asked what candidates now want proof rather than promises about, flexibility and work-life balance came out well ahead with 63% of responses. The day-to-day reality of the job received 16% of votes, company culture and working atmosphere 14%, and career progression prospects 8%. This finding comes in a market where competition between employers remains real: according to ADEM, Luxembourg had 20,269 registered resident jobseekers at the end of September 2026, with an unemployment rate of 6.5%.
On artificial intelligence, 37% of participants said they use it regularly for certain HR tasks and 24% said it is already integrated into several of their processes. Those testing a few uses account for 22%, while 16% do not really use it yet
Finally, on retention, the question "HR teams fight to recruit talent, but do managers and leadership put as much energy into keeping it?" divided the room. For 33% of participants, the energy is there at the start, then day-to-day matters take over, and 31% feel that people mostly wake up when employees want to leave. Only 24% consider that support continues after signing, compared with 12% who believe that clearly more energy goes into recruiting.
At the end of the panel, several questions from the audience extended the discussions and fuelled reflection on the topics covered. Nicolas Speeckaert then took the stage to announce two new developments: Alleyesonme.jobs has become the number one job board in Luxembourg, and the platform is launching, exclusively, Alleyesonme.jobs Students, dedicated to internships, student jobs and first jobs.
